BSA has implemented a new medical form for immediate adoption and use.  This establishes one Annual Health and Medical Record for all ages and known risks. It is simple and yet comprehensive enough to be used for both health and wellness evaluations as well as emergency situations.  For more, go to the Redwood Empire Council web site.

NEW:  Troops: Hike in Safety this Summer
Is your Troop taking a hiking trip this summer?  Please take along SPOT!  SPOT is a handheld satellite communication and safety device which is used to alert emergency responders of your GPS location.  It can also let your contacts back home know where you are and that you’re okay.  If there is a problem, you can request help from friends and family at your GPS location.
Miwok District has a SPOT unit and has paid for a year’s subscription to the basic service so that the Miwok Troops can use this device while hiking in areas that may be out of cell phone range.  Just send an email to Jill to reserve the unit for your camping trip.
